The Senior Principal Engineer - Software Systems is a member of the Technical Leadership Council (TLC) functioning as the SWX wide expert in Software Systems . This person will lead creation and maintenance of the technical strategy for Software Systems design for SWX projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The key po sition responsibilities of The Senior Principal Engineer - Software Systems include:

• Creating and maintaining the technical strategy for Software Systems design including abstraction interfaces

• Evaluating new features impact on software system technical strategy and modify the strategy as necessary to accommodate feature growth
• Develop technical documents that detail strategi c system features and interfaces

• Build and test prototypes to validate the technical strategy

Requirements and Skills

• Experience building applications on Linux or Android is preferred

• Ability to conduct research into software-related iss ues and products Highly self-motivated
• Basic understand ing of ARXML s and their application in Automotive
• Basic understanding of Cockpit and AD Software Architecture is preferred
• Hands on experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB, PREEvision or Rhapsody
• Deep understandin g of software systems design including resource modeling and software integration
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Experience with GreenHills, QNX or other embedded operating systems is preferred
• U nderstanding of software design, coding methods, programming principles and best practices
• Flexible and adaptable to lear n and understand new technologies
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmen t
